Signet, Investors Get Final Court OK of $240 Million Settlement

Signet Jewelers Ltd. will pay $240 million to end a class suit alleging it misled investors about purportedly widespread sexual harassment at the company after a New York federal district judge gave final approval to the settlement.

The company behind jewelry chains Kay, Jared, and Zales reached the deal with its investors after over two and a half years of “vigorous litigation,” the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York said Tuesday. The investors’ attorneys will get more than $63 million as part of the cash settlement.
