Semiconductor Parts Supplier Sued After Sales Outlook Shortfall

Semiconductor parts supplier ASML Holding NV and its top executives misled investors about the company’s financial outlook and ability to recover from industry-wide downturn, according to a proposed class action.

The shareholder plaintiffs cited a stock drop that was prompted when ASML revealed low sales figures and reduced profit margins last month.

The Dutch company also allegedly downplayed concerns about export regulations adopted by the Dutch government that could adversely influence ASML’s revenue from systems sold to customers in China, assuring investors that the business was on a path to recovery, said the complaint filed Thursday in the US District ...
