The first chief of the SEC Division of Enforcement’s Cyber Unit Robert Cohen will be leaving the agency in August after 15 years of service.
- Cohen is first Chief of the Cyber Unit, created in 2017
- Unit focuses on violations involving digital assets and cryptocurrency, cyber-related trading violations such as hacking, cybersecurity disclosures and procedures at public companies and financial institutions
- Cohen was previously co-chief of Market Abuse Unit
