SEC Wants Public to Look Again at Dodd-Frank Swap Proposals (1)

The SEC asked for more feedback on a group of security-based swap proposals Oct. 11 as it works to finalize Dodd-Frank Act regulations.

The Securities and Exchange Commission voted 4-1 to reopen the public comment periods for proposed rules concerning dealers and others in the swaps market, including a plan related to cross-border swap transactions. The SEC under former Chairmen Mary Schapiro and Mary Jo White first solicited public input on the proposals between 2012 and 2014 with the full support of the agency’s commissioners.
