SEC Trading & Markets Director Haoxiang Zhu to Depart

The director of the SEC’s trading and markets unit, Haoxiang Zhu, will depart effective Dec. 10.

• David Saltiel will serve as acting director upon Zhu’s departure
• Saltiel is a deputy director who also heads the trading and market unit’s office of analytics and research
• Zhu will return to his role as a professor at MIT
• NOTE: November 2021, SEC Names MIT Finance Professor Zhu to Lead Market Oversight
