SEC Seeks Coinbase Appeal Delay Pending Crypto Regulatory Review

The SEC has requested an extra month to respond to Coinbase Global Inc.’s appeal of an enforcement action, citing the agency’s review of crypto-related issues and hinting at a possible avenue for resolving the litigation.

The agency also requested similar pauses in at least two other pending cases involving crypto exchanges Binance and Lejilex, signaling a regulatory about-face under acting Chairman Mark Uyeda that aligns with the Trump administration’s goals to develop a regulatory framework for crypto assets.
