SEC Enforcer Hodgman Named Associate Director

Melissa Hodgman, formerly an assistant director in the SEC Enforcement Division’s Market Abuse unit, has been named associate director.

Hodgman succeeds Stephen Cohen, who left the agency in June, the commission said Oct. 14 108 SLD, 6/6/16, 48 SRLR 1189, 6/13/16. She joined the division as a staff attorney in 2008.

Hodgman also has led the division’s Cross-Border Working Group.

Prior to joining the SEC staff, Hodgman was an associate at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy in Washington. She earned a law degree and a masters of law degree from Georgetown University Law Center.
