A Scopus Biopharma Inc. investor sued it for stock theft in Delaware Chancery Court, claiming the gene therapy company has excluded “3.5 million missing shares” from accounts of his ownership stake since its soaring initial public offering in December.
Although Scopus acknowledged in securities filings as recently as September that Dr. Morris Laster owns more than 4.9 million shares, its stock transfer agent has insisted since December that he owns only about 1.4 million, the lawsuit says.
