Ponzi Schemer’s Wife Must Pay $4M for Husband’s Ticket Fraud

The wife of a Ponzi schemer who sought investors for a scheme to resell Hamilton and Adele tickets must cough up the illicit profits, including an East Hampton, N.Y., house.

Joseph Meli pleaded guilty last fall to criminal fraud charges and was forced to hand over $160 million. The Securities and Exchange Commission filed a civil suit against him in January 2017 with his wife, Jessica Ingber Meli, as a relief defendant.
