Pintec Technology Holdings Ltd. is free of a suit accusing it of making misleading statements ahead of a 2018 initial public offering, after a federal judge in New York said investors failed to allege material misstatements or omissions.
Investors say the Chinese fintech firm misled them about its finances before the IPO. But each of the would-be class complaint’s claims “fails as a matter of the law,” the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York said, dismissing the suit without leave to amend.
