Paypal Holdings Inc. investors can’t proceed with a lawsuit alleging the payment platform company touted user account growth without disclosing a boost from bot farms, at least as the investors’ claims are currently pleaded, a federal court ruled.
The investors didn’t show some of the targeted statements by the company and its executives were known to be false when made, Judge Robert Kirsch said Wednesday for the US District Court for the District of New Jersey. And other statements aren’t actionable, he said.
