The owner of a business that claims. boxer Floyd Mayweather and ex-baseball player Johnny Damon as “special advisors” was accused in a federal lawsuit of using inflated valuations determined by an Oppenheimer & Co. financial adviser.
Michael Makowenskyj, who runs Parlor Games LLC and at least three other business ventures, allegedly working with Oppenheimer representative Christopher Lazos, misled investors to invest more than $1 million in unregistered securities and loans since 2017, according to the complaint filed Tuesday in US District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
