Origin Materials Inc.‘s corporate reform settlement earned a federal judge’s final blessing to end shareholder allegations the sustainable plastics maker’s leadership hid shifting plans that delayed construction for a manufacturing facility.

Shareholders and their counsel will get $700,000 combined in attorneys’ fees, expenses, and service awards, Judge William B. Shubb said in an order entered Thursday. Through the agreement, Origin establishes a board “Operational Excellence Committee,” Chief Compliance Officer role, and other changes for at least three years—a time period courts have held meaningful, the US District Court for the Eastern District of California judge said.
