The SEC’s office in Texas isn’t investigating why “noses run and feet smell” or whether gluten-free spaghetti is an “impasta” anymore.

David Peavler, who left a wealth management firm to become the Securities and Exchange Commission’s top official in the state in July, isn’t one to crack a joke, especially on Twitter. He succeeded Shamoil Shipchandler, a director known for using humorous tweets to help build interest in the Fort Worth Regional Office’s work before he joined Jones Day earlier this year.
