Okta Inc. investors adequately alleged the company and its leadership misled shareholders about the integration of its sales team with that of a company it acquired, a federal court ruled.
But other securities fraud claims over the user authentication software company’s acquisition of Auth0 Inc. must be dismissed, at least for now, Judge Susan Illston said March 31 for the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
And the investors failed to adequately allege that the company’s CEO and co-founder, Todd McKinnon, made false statements about a January 2022 data security incident, Illston said.
