NYC Investors Seek Disclosure of AT&T Workforce Demographic Data

The New York City Employees’ Retirement System and other city pension funds allege that AT&T Inc. is violating a securities law by declining to share information about the company’s workforce demographics.

The investors are seeking the disclosure of a workforce information report. The telecommunications giant’s decision to exclude their proposal from a shareholder proxy solicitation violates section 14 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, the plaintiffs told the US District Court for the Southern District of New York in a Tuesday complaint.
