Nissan Must Face Investor Claims Over Ghosn Compensation Scheme

Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. lost its bid to toss all of a would-be class suit accusing it of misleading investors about an alleged executive compensation scheme after a federal judge in Tennessee denied most of its motion to dismiss.

The Japanese automaker allegedly made misleading statements about former chairman Carlos Ghosn’s purported scheme to increase his pay through deferred compensation. There’s no personal jurisdiction over one of the executives named as a defendant, but the rest of the suit can go forward, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee said.
