New York SEC Official Amelia Cottrell Promoted to Associate Regional Director

The Securities and Exchange Commission June 14 announced that Amelia Cottrell has been promoted to associate regional director for enforcement in the commission’s New York office.

Cottrell was an assistant regional director in the office, and a member of the Enforcement Division’s Market Abuse Unit, the SEC said. In her new role, Cottrell will supervise about 180 attorneys, investigators, accountants, and paralegals in the New York office’s enforcement program, the SEC said.
