Musk Trial Over $2 Billion SolarCity Buyout Pushed Back Again

Tesla Inc. Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk must wait until next year to defend the electric carmaker’s $2 billion acquisition of a solar-panel manufacturer he helped found.

Delaware Chancery Court Judge Joseph Slights III Thursday postponed the start of the planned eight-day trial in Wilmington, Delaware, to March 1 as the Covid-19 pandemic continues to cause concerns about public gatherings. It’s the third time the case has been delayed over coronavirus fears. Delaware courts are still barring in-person trials.
