MuniBrokers.com Says DOJ Conducting Inquiry

The operator of a trading platform that distributes offerings for inter-dealer brokers in the municipal bond market said the Department of Justice’s antitrust division was conducting a general inquiry and that the firm has cooperated with the government.

MuniBrokers.com doesn’t restrict people from using the service and said they are not a target of an investigation, said Ed Smith, general counsel at Hartfield, Titus & Donnelly LLC , which owns the platform.
