MSG Networks Settles Investors’ Claims Over Dolan-Driven Merger

MSG Networks has reached a tentative settlement with investors who sued over a 2021 deal by billionaire James Dolan combining the broadcaster of games for the NBA’s New York Knicks with his Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp., according to a court filing.

A lawyer for MSG Networks shareholders said both sides agreed to cancel a pre-trial hearing Wednesday because they’ve agreed on an “agreement in principle to settle this action,” a March 31 letter filed in Delaware Chancery Court said. The case was set for trial April 10. The letter didn’t spell out terms of the deal.
