Mizuho Hires Veteran Macquarie Banker Magliana in London (1)

Mizuho Financial Group Inc. has hired veteran London-based banker Michael Magliana from Macquarie Group Ltd., according to people familiar with the matter.

Magliana will be a vice chair and head of financial sponsors for Greenhill EMEA, the people said, asking not to be identified because the matter is private.

Representatives for Mizuho and Macquarie declined to comment.

Magliana had previously held roles at Jefferies Financial Group Inc., Moelis & Co. and JPMorgan Chase & Co., according to his LinkedIn profile.
