Mesa Air Investor Class Certified in Dispute on Public Offering

Mesa Air Group Inc. investors who say it misled them about aircraft maintenance ahead of its 2018 initial public offering may pursue their securities suit as a class, a federal judge in Arizona said.

The new class includes everyone who acquired the regional air carrier’s securities “pursuant and/or traceable” to its IPO and lost money as a result, the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona said in an order following the parties’ stipulation to class certification.

Mesa Airand its investors stipulated to certification in an effort to “avoid unnecessary motion practice,” according to a December 2021 filing. ...
