Match Group Top Brass Sued for Downplaying Active User Decline

Match Group Inc.’s directors and two top executives understated challenges arising from declining monthly active Tinder users before disclosing last month that the dating platform’s usership was down 9% year-over-year, according to a shareholder derivative suit.

The Tinder parent—which also runs Hinge, OkCupid, and Match.com—previously faced allegations that its officers misled investors about the company’s growth prospects, including a proposed class action last month that similarly claims Match downplayed user decline.
