LSE Opens Up New Private Stock Market to Retail Investors

The London Stock Exchange has partnered with Crowdcube Ltd. to open up late-stage private companies to thousands of eligible retail investors on its PISCES exchange, as businesses that prefer to remain private for longer seek a wider capital pool for growth.

Crowdcube is an equity crowdfunding platform that provides access to individuals who can invest as little as £10 in high-growth, private businesses in Europe, according to its website. It has more than 1.8 million users globally. PISCES, approved by the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority in August, is a new type of private stock market.
