A federal judge in Ohio has tossed a lawsuit from Lordstown Motors Corp. shareholders who said the electric-vehicle manufacturer’s leaders deceived them about a failed partnership with Foxconn Technology Group.
The investors led by Andrew and Joshua Strickland failed to present sufficient allegations that Lordstown CEO Edward Hightower, Chief Financial Officer Adam Kroll and Executive Chairman Daniel Ninivaggi made material misstatements or omissions about the collapsed deal between 2022 and 2023, Judge Benita Y. Pearson of the US District Court for the Northern District of Ohio said in an opinion on Monday.
