Live Nation Leaders Face Derivative Suit After Antitrust Claims

Live Nation Entertainment Inc.’s directors were sued by a shareholder who alleges anticompetitive practices and misleading statements have exposed the company to significant losses.

The derivative lawsuit comes weeks after the Justice Department and nearly 30 states sued Live Nation in federal court, alleging an illegal monopoly over the live events industry. Live Nation is also facing a proposed investor class action alleging the company misled shareholders about its compliance with antitrust laws.

The alleged wrongdoing will force the company to spend “significant sums of money,” Friday’s lawsuit said.
