Investors looking to add a K Street lobbying stock to their portfolio might soon be able to invest in a company that owns several influence shops in Washington and state capitals.

The Public Policy Holding Co., which owns the Alpine Group, Forbes Tate Partners, and Crossroads Strategies where ex-Sens. Trent Lott (R-Miss.) and John Breaux (D-La.) are on the roster, filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission, paving a path for a public stock offering in the United States.
