JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley Top First Half Bond Underwriting

JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley were the top corporate and financial bond underwriters through the first half of 2017, Bloomberg data show.

The investment banks also held the top spots during the first quarter.

JP Morgan underwrote 568 corporate bond deals worth more than $83 billion in the first half, representing 7.6 percent of overall market share.

Bank of America Merrill Lynch, the top corporate bond underwriter in 2016, was in second place with 517 deals, accounting for 6.8 percent of market share. Citi landed in the third spot with 516 deals.
