Jackie Robinson Memorabilia Trial Nears as Judge Trims Evidence

The SEC and a sports memorabilia startup can’t block “swaths” of expert testimony at an upcoming jury trial over an alleged investment fraud by the startup and its founder, but some evidence will stay out, a federal court ruled.

The trial in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, set for Dec. 5, will determine whether the company and founder are liable for fraud involving Jackie Robinson’s original professional baseball contracts.
