iRobot Asks Appeals Court to End Investor Suit Over Amazon Deal

iRobot Corp. rightfully defeated a proposed investor class action over its abandoned Amazon.com Inc. merger because the allegations weren’t specific, the robot vacuum maker told an appeals court.

The district court correctly ruled that vague news articles and sparse confidential witness accounts couldn’t support claims the company misrepresented the deal’s prospects and regulatory cooperation, said the appellees’ brief filed in the US Court of Appeals for the First Circuit Monday.
