A corporate investor in the former Tulsa Roughnecks pro soccer team, now known as FC Tulsa, voluntarily dismissed claims that the club’s prior majority owner misrepresented the sale price of the franchise.
Sporting Evolutions LLC notified the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma Tuesday that it is dismissing the action against Tulsa Professional Sports LLC with prejudice.
Counsel for Sporting Evolutions didn’t respond to a request for comment.
The suit alleged Sporting Evolutions agreed to invest in the Roughnecks on the condition that TPS, then-majority owner, wouldn’t sell the team for less than $4.5 million.
