Hexagon CEO Resumes Role, Denies Insider Trading Allegations

Ola Rollen resumed his duties as Hexagon AB chief executive officer Nov. 7 after being released from jail, where he had been held as Norway’s financial-crimes authority investigated alleged insider trading in Next Biometrics Group AS.

Rollen was arrested and detained in Sweden on Oct. 26 and later extradited to Norway on suspicion he had access to inside information when he privately bought shares in Norwegian fingerprint-sensor maker Next in October last year.

“I’m confident that I’ve done nothing illegal, and I know that this matter will be cleared up,” Rollen said on a conference call Nov. 7.
