Global Corporate Sustainability Reporting Body Names New Boss

A leading standard-setter for voluntary corporate sustainability reporting announced a new CEO Thursday as the organization adjusts its strategy in the face of global efforts to introduce mandatory disclosure rules.

Robin Hodess will become boss of the Global Reporting Initiative in February. She replaces Eelco van der Enden, who left GRI in September and is now CEO of Accountancy Europe.

The sustainability reporting organization also adopted a new strategy to guide its work, with a greater focus on “unlocking the value of reporting for stakeholders” such as companies and investors, along with “building a seamless global reporting system.” So far, ...
