Former CFTC Commissioner Dunn Joins Patton Boggs

Former Commodity Futures Trading Commissioner Michael Dunn, who retired from the agency in October, has joined the Washington office of Patton Boggs LLP as a senior policy advisor, the firm said Feb. 7.

Dunn, who held a Democratic seat at the agency, joined the CFTC in 2004 after working as a staffer on the Senate Agriculture Committee. He was CFTC acting chairman for several months in 2009, before the appointment of current chairman Gary Gensler. Prior to his work as a Senate committee staffer, Dunn was a director at the Farm Credit Administration, and also served on its board.
