Florida Men’s PetMed Express Inside Trades Netted $575,000: SEC

Two men made more than $575,000 combined trading on inside information after a former PetMed Express Inc. senior manager tipped them about the company’s fiscal 2017 financial results, the SEC said Tuesday in Florida federal district court.

Scott O. Hirsch made about $74,500 on his trades, while Kenneth L. Friedman made more than $501,000, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Hirsch also tipped some relatives to trade and they made nearly $21,000 in additional profits, the agency said.
