Fintech Company’s Sale Undermined EB-5 Visa Criteria, Suit Says

Newark, N.J.-based League Network PBC misrepresented its ability to satisfy local employment requirements as an EB-5 visa investment because it was in the process of selling itself to an organization in Alabama, a suit alleges.

The financial platform company’s sale to Alliance Reentry Centers PBC “subtracted at least two jobs from Newark,” instead of adding 10 jobs there as required to qualify as an investment for the visa program, applicant Yash Kamat says.
