PHOENIX—The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority is interviewing candidates for a newly created position of chief economist, and hopes to have a designee in place by the end of “this academic year,’’ FINRA’s chairman and chief executive told a conference of compliance officers March 19.
Richard G. Ketchum made his remarks during a gathering of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association’s (SIFMA) compliance and legal society annual seminar.
