Two former directors of investments for Woodbridge Group of Companies LLC kept their boss’s $1.22 billion Ponzi scheme running from 2010 through 2017 and defrauded more than 8,400 investors, the SEC said April 11.
Ivan Acevedo and Dane R. Roseman weren’t registered broker-dealers, the Securities and Exchange Commission said in its complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Acevedo served in the role from 2010 to 2015, and Roseman replaced him after he left, the SEC said.
