Former Scana Corp. Chief Executive Officer Kevin B. Marsh will plead guilty to fraud in connection with a $10 billion nuclear power project that the South Carolina gas and electric utility abandoned amid soaring costs and construction delays, federal prosecutors said.

Marsh, who also served as Scana’s chairman, will enter his plea to conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud on Dec. 29 in South Carolina federal court, U.S. Attorney Peter M. McCoy Jr. said in an emailed statement on Wednesday.

In July, another Scana executive, Stephen Byrne, pleaded guilty to fraud charges.

Dominion Energy acquired Scana in 2018.
