Ex-Lordstown Executives Free From Foxconn Rift Lawsuit on Appeal

Former Lordstown Motors Corp. leaders escaped allegations they misled investors about the bankrupted electric-vehicle maker’s partnership with Foxconn Technology Group before it imploded.

The US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit mostly agreed with a lower court’s decision to dismiss the proposed class action Tuesday, with Judge Karen Nelson Moore partially dissenting. Two of the three circuit judges found that the investors failed to allege that any of the alleged positive misstatements about the partnership or omissions were misleading.
