Eventbrite Shuts Down Investors’ Suit Over Ticketfly Merger

Eventbrite Inc. won’t have to face a would-be class action accusing it of misleading investors about the success of a 2017 merger with Ticketfly LLC, a California federal district judge said.

The online ticket seller and event manager’s investors didn’t sufficiently allege statements Eventbrite made about the merger during its 2018 initial public offering were false, the U.s. District Court for the Northern District of California said Tuesday.
