Euronext CEO Defends Single Platform Amid Glitch Critics (1)

Euronext NV Chief Executive Officer Stephane Boujnah defended the single-platform trading system at his multinational stock exchange after a series of high-profile glitches.

Boujnah said the company held “extensive talks” with regulators following an interruption on Oct. 19, which it blamed on a third-party software provider, and is working to avoid a repeat of the issue. He said Euronext’s Optiq technology platform proved to be robust during the pandemic-driven volatility in March.
