DaVita, Investors Get Final Court Nod for $135 Million Deal

DaVita Inc. and its investors can resolve a class suit over an alleged scheme to steer dialysis patients to certain health plans after a federal judge in Colorado gave their $135 million settlement final approval.

Investors accused the dialysis company of misleading them about a purported scheme to steer patients toward private health plans with higher reimbursement rates for DaVita’s services. The settlement class covers everyone who acquired the company’s common stock from Feb. 26, 2015, through Oct. 6, 2017, the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado said.
