Danaher Trims Investors’ Lawsuit Over Waned Pandemic Demand

Danaher Corp. will have to battle some investor accusations that the biotechnology company overhyped demand while pandemic-fueled desire for its tests and vaccine equipment tapered.

Shareholders didn’t sufficiently allege that the executives knowingly misled them with most future-focused statements about demand, Judge Amir H. Ali said. But the investors did adequately claim there were misleading projections in an April 2022 earnings call that CEO Rainer Blair knew to be misleading, said the US District Court for the District of Columbia judge.
