Danaher Settles Investor Suit Over Projections for $173 Million

Danaher Corp. has reached a nearly $173 million class settlement with investors who allege it misrepresented demand for its tests and vaccine equipment as the Covid-19 pandemic waned, according to a federal court filing.

The deal is fair and should receive preliminary approval, the shareholder leading the suit told the US District Court for the District of Columbia on Wednesday. “If approved, this will be the largest federal securities fraud class action recovery” within the District of Columbia Circuit since the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act went into effect in 1996, Brenda Hawkins said.
