Cummins Settles Investor Class Claims Over Emissions Compliance

Cummins Inc. reached a settlement with a shareholder who alleged the engine-maker hid skirting emissions laws by making engines with unauthorized devices.

The investor leading the case asked the US District Court for the Southern District of Indiana Thursday for 45 days to tidy up the deal, move for its preliminary approval, and seek conditional class certification.
