Credit Suisse Creates Senior Risk Role After Archegos Blowup (1)

Credit Suisse Group AG named Amelie Perrier to a new role in risk management as the Swiss bank seeks to boost its defenses after the $5.5 billion hit from the Archegos Capital Management scandal.

Perrier, who previously covered equity derivatives market risk globally, becomes head of counterparty market risk, according to an internal memo from late June obtained by Bloomberg. The role entails improving risk measurement of clients and credit decision making, according to the memo.
