A federal judge dismissed a lawsuit crypto firm Consensys Software Inc. brought against the Securities and Exchange Commission seeking an order that it doesn’t operate as a broker through its MetaMask products.
The issue is premature because there hasn’t been a final action from the SEC, Judge Reed O’Connor in the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas said in a ruling Thursday.
The SEC in June sued Consensys in the Eastern District of New York for alleged securities law violations related to its MetaMask wallet. The SEC’s lawsuit provides Consensys “with an avenue to test its theories,” ...
