Coinbase Direct Listing Suit Gets Bid for New Lead Plaintiffs

Coinbase Global Inc. investors revived their bid to herald a proposed class action over the cryptocurrency platform’s direct listing after the former lead plaintiff left.

Justin McMichael and Vincent Casola and counsel Scott+Scott Attorneys at Law LLP asked to represent the proposed class Wednesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of California in the wake of a US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit ruling favoring Slack Technologies LLC that made it harder for investors to sue companies that bypass the traditional initial public offering process to instead go public through direct listings.
